Regulatory Compliance

Always Compliant is the Corporate Responsibility pillar encompassing all activities through which NOVOMATIC ensures full compliance in the marketing of products and services across the 130 markets in which it operates. NOVOMATIC operates exclusively in regulated markets, characterized by complex and constantly evolving legal and regulatory frameworks; in this context, full compliance with rules is an essential condition to ensure steady, stable, and responsible international growth.

The NOVOMATIC Group is continuously committed to implementing and strengthening systems, procedures, and controls aimed at ensuring full regulatory compliance and business management aligned with the high standards defined in the Code of Conduct.  

For NOVOMATIC Italia in particular, the Organizational Model pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001 (Model 231) is an integral part of the internal control system of each company. The Model is based on a structured framework of procedures, organizational rules, and monitoring activities, designed to ensure the proper implementation of internal control measures. Within this framework, the Code of Ethics represents an essential reference of the Model, guiding the expected conduct of corporate bodies, employees, partners, and all entities collaborating with the Group.

Corporate culture is centered on responsibility, respect, and trust. The Code of Conduct is grounded in these core values and serves as the foundation for all corporate actions and decisions, translating the Group’s principles into concrete behaviors to be applied in daily operations. All employees, regardless of their level of responsibility, as well as all business partners, are required to comply with the provisions set out in the document; the same applies to the supply chain, for which a dedicated Supplier Code of Conduct has been developed.

NOVOMATIC Italia has obtained the Legality Rating issued by the Italian Competition Authority (AGCM), with a score of ★★++. This recognition places the Group among the most reliable companies within the Italian business system. The rating rewards NOVOMATIC Italia’s ongoing commitment to promoting transparency, fairness, and compliance, confirming the company’s role as a responsible operator in the regulated public gaming sector.

In this context, Compliance represents a central pillar of corporate governance. Ethical conduct and lawful behavior are integral parts of corporate culture and a key prerequisite for ensuring NOVOMATIC’s long-term success. The Group has been committed for years to respecting the principles of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and contributing to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As a member of the UN Global Compact global platform, NOVOMATIC promotes the protection of human rights, respect for employees and their representative organizations, environmental protection, responsible use of resources, fair competition, and the fight against corruption.
