HBG Online Gaming, a company within the NOVOMATIC Italia Group, is pleased to announce the acquisition of 100% of Giocondabet, an Italian licensed online gaming operator.
This strategic transaction is part of a broader expansion and consolidation plan aimed at strengthening NOVOMATIC Group’s presence in the online gaming market and fostering new synergies with the land-based betting network and PVR (Retail Gaming Points) distribution channels.
The integration of Giocondabet into HBG Online Gaming’s corporate portfolio marks a significant step in strengthening the company’s position within the online gaming sector. This strategic move enables the expansion of its operational network and sets the stage for new synergies across the territory through the Quigioco Point PVR model. The product offering will be centred on innovative and secure gaming solutions, with a strong commitment to player protection and the promotion of responsible gaming practices.
“We are honoured to welcome into our Group a company established by distinguished professionals, whose values of innovation, reliability, and customer dedication closely align with our own”, said Davide Diodato, CEO of HBG Online Gaming. “This acquisition confirms that, with Quigioco, we are ready to deliver advanced digital solutions that create value alongside our land-based partners and PVR networks. Together, we will continue to invest in safety, technology, and responsibility.”
Giocondabet has also expressed its satisfaction with the agreement, which follows a comprehensive long-term strategic evaluation. The company has chosen to reshape its future in partnership with NOVOMATIC Italia, ensuring continuity and innovation for its customers, affiliated PVR operators, and all those who have supported the project over the years. Now operating under the Quigioco brand, Giocondabet joins a broader network, contributing its expertise and commitment to enhancing the value of the business and ensuring continuity in the professional journey undertaken by its stakeholders.
HBG Online Gaming, through the Quigioco brand, has participated in the tender process for the new online gaming concession, reaffirming its commitment to the development of the Italian market. The acquisition of Giocondabet represents a tangible step in the Group’s strategy to invest in growth and innovation, strengthen relationships with long-standing partners, and open new paths for sector-wide development.
