NOVOMATIC: 60 percent women on the Supervisory Board

“At NOVOMATIC, several women hold top positions. This begins with our five-member Supervisory Board, which has long had a 60 percent share of female members, and continues in various group companies in Austria where women hold executive positions. At NOVOMATIC, 34 percent of all executive positions are now held by women,” explains Harald Neumann, CEO of NOVOMATIC AG.

The general women’s quota of NOVOMATIC is 54 percent, well above the industry average. Because according to Eurostat only 30 percent of all those working in science and technology in Austria are female. At key points of control: Birgit Wimmer and Monika Racek With Birgit Wimmer, there is also a woman at the head of the holding companies of the NOVOMATIC founder and owner Prof. Johann Graf. As Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Swiss holding company NOVO SWISS AG, Birgit Wimmer is actively involved in international holdings with around 5,000 employees in more than 10 countries. As the Managing Director of Austrian-based Novo Invest GmbH, she is also responsible for major shareholdings of the NOVOMATIC Group. In addition, Monika Racek has been a member of the Executive Board of the most important domestic NOVOMATIC subsidiary, ADMIRAL Casinos & Entertainment AG, since 2011. In 2016, she assumed the role of CEO for this domestic gaming services provider. At ADMIRAL Casinos & Entertainment AG, around 43 percent of all employees are female. “Of course, our managers must have excellent social and professional skills. We are confident that balanced teams are more creative and deliver better results. That is why we encourage the high potential of female employees as best we can,” concludes Neumann.
