In recent months, NOVOMATIC Italia has launched a new “on the road” training program focused on responsibility and safety. This important initiative is dedicated to the managers of over 300 gaming venues operated by Allstar, ALP, and HBG Entertainment, and offers a structured, engaging learning path centred around three key areas: Cybersecurity, Responsible Gaming, and HR Payroll.
The training sessions, which began in April in Rome and will conclude in September, have already reached several Italian cities, including Rimini, Livorno, Padua, Bolzano, Alessandria, and Desenzano del Garda. The goal is to provide participants with practical tools, regulatory updates, and new skills essential for increasingly conscious, secure, and efficient retail management. The program also includes dedicated sessions with the HR Payroll team, offering useful guidance on managing the shift management portal and understanding payslips.
This training initiative is specifically designed for those who are responsible for ensuring the proper operation of gaming venues and for safeguarding customers, data, the work environment, and team members. In a context where information protection and risk prevention are becoming increasingly critical, the cybersecurity module focuses on identifying major cyber threats, defence strategies, and protocols for protecting company systems and infrastructure. Through everyday case studies, participants learn how to recognize and respond to critical situations, helping to foster a solid culture of digital security.
Alongside cybersecurity, the program includes training on responsible gaming, a cornerstone of the industry and a fundamental pillar of the Group’s sustainability strategy. This module goes beyond theory, encouraging a proactive approach to daily operations and customer interactions. Interactive role-playing sessions are designed to build empathy, awareness, and effective intervention skills in realistic scenarios. Through guided simulations, arcade managers actively engage in analysing and managing sensitive situations, learning to identify potentially problematic behaviours, respond appropriately, handle reports, and communicate effectively with customers, offering support and accurate information. In doing so, the retail network strengthens its role as an active promoter of safe, informed, and protected gaming experiences, contributing meaningfully to risk prevention and the protection of vulnerable players.
The third pillar of the program is HR Payroll, which includes sessions aimed at equipping managers with operational tools to improve internal processes, ensure clear communication with headquarters, and support staff in understanding payroll-related matters. The training focuses on personnel administration, with practical insights into using Zucchetti applications, managing absences, and reading payslips. Delivered through a highly interactive and hands-on format, this module offers a valuable opportunity to enhance the professionalism and managerial efficiency of venue directors.
